Pakistan United Christian Movement- A Characteristic Christian Political party
A novel Christian political party is on the Twin city political horizon at this instant
Albert David– Chairman of the Pakistan United Christian Movement, (PUCM) aims to create wakefulness in Christians of Pakistan through his political party. While addressing the Christians in the Twin Cities, he animates the need for Christians to claim “Elections” not “Selection” all over the country. He emphasizes on the issue that Christians in Pakistan should keenly take part in National politics, to make certain their visibility on the political scenario.
Mr. Albert continues to spotlight the necessity for Christians in Pakistan to unite under one political platform so the other major parties of the country may be on familiar terms with the Non-Muslim parties. Expounding about the Constitutional amendments, he complained that during past 65 years, the 207 seats for parliamentarians were increased to 335 even as, the seats for women increased from 15 to 60 but on the contrary the seats reserved for minorities increased from 10 to 14– which is not in proportion; as the Non-Muslim population has increased notably.
