ISLAMABAD: Pakisani Premier reviews the ongoing petrol crisis in the country while directing for some changes.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has chaired a meeting in order to review the existing petroleum crisis situation in the country. While being apprised about the current situation he directed for structural changes so that such a problematic situation does not arises again in the coming days.
Initial findings regarding the crisis were presented to the PM by the two-member committee which was tasked to look into the matter. The committee informed him that the petrol shortage was a serious failure on the part of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority as a regulator. The meeting further endorsed an earlier decision of suspending four senior officials responsible for the current petrol crisis. In addition to these, PSO Finance Deputy Managing Director Sohail Butt was also held equally responsible for the shortages while his suspension orders were given.
