PM’s message on Easter: Valuable contributions of Christians are deeply appreciated

While extending Easter felicitations to the Christians in Pakistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reiterated that fact that the country belongs to all and one. In his Easter message, PM stated that Pakistan is a country of people from all religions, casts and creeds. He reassured Pakistani Christians that Pakistan belonged to them equally just as it belongs to citizens of other religions.

Easter celebrations in Pakistan

Premier stressed that Pakistan’s prosperity lies in unity among all Pakistanis. He stated that unity was inevitable to achieve peace in the country. He said that Christians are equal citizens of Pakistan and that “It is a moral and national obligation of our nation to protect the constitutional rights of each and every Christian and all other minorities living in Pakistan,” he said message on the Easter.

On the occasion of Easter, PM extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Pakistani Christians. He went on to appreciate valuable services rendered by Christians. He noted that Pakistani Christians have been playing an important role in the development and progress of the country.

“We deeply appreciate and are indebted to their valuable contributions and services towards our collective national objective of securing a truly strong, progressive and stable Pakistan,” the Premier stated.
