Punjab Government observes “Day of Tolerance” Today
LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab says the burning of houses of Christians is a cruel and blameworthy act.
The CM said that Punjab government is observing, “Day of Tolerance” tagged along by an agreed decision by the provincial authorities and the religious scholars. Further more he said that this incident has spoiled Pakistan’s image internationally. He blames anti-social elements; the source of this act.
While expressing his concern for the minorities, he said “The Tolerance Day is aimed at creating patience, forbearance, peace and brotherhood among various segments of the society and there is a need for a new social contract. There is a dire need to introduce reforms to remove shortcomings in the society.”
