Two Christians die after consuming toxic liquor in Rawat. The deceased identified as Adnan Masih and Mubashar Masih passed away while another Christian namely Aamir is in critical condition after drinking same toxic liquor.
As details emerged, police have registered an FIR while the Investigating officer in this case ASI Abdul Kabir Shah said that all three of them hailed from Lahore. He said that Adnan Masih, Mubashar Masih and Aamir were employed as painters at a private housing society.
“They consumed toxic liquor, which caused their deaths while Aamir has been shifted to the D.H.Q. Hospital Rawalpindi,” ASI Abdul Kabir stated. Subsequently, the legal procedure, an FIR of the incident has been registered in Rawat Police Station, and police claim that the investigations are underway.
Previously, on October 28, 11 Christians died after drinking toxic liquor in Jhelum. The death toll later reached 15, as few others expired few days later. The incident sparked calls for a ban on manufacturing, sale and purchase of liquor in Punjab as well.
