RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff reinstated his promise to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan.
According to details, the Army chief General Raheel Sharif has reinstated his resolution to eradicate terrorism even from the remotest pockets of Pakistan at all costs. He reassured this aim today, Monday August 24.
It was during a meeting between the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman that firm resolutions were made. “We will eliminate terrorists even from the remotest pockets at all costs,” General Raheel said during a meeting.
The meeting was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ). According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, “Progress in ongoing operations in Shawal and North Waziristan Agency was discussed during the meeting. Chief of Air Staff assured full support to ongoing operation against the terrorists.”
During the previous week, the Air Chief led an air campaign against the hideouts of the terrorists during Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan. The Air Chief led from the front a formation of fighter aircrafts which took part in an anti-terrorist air blitz. The formation pounded militant hideouts and depots of explosives in North Waziristan. The Air Chief Sohail Aman flew an F-16.
