KARACHI: Pakistani boxer confirms a place in finals while making a sliver medal sure for the country.
Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem has knocked down Ghana’s Abdul Omar in the men’s fly 25 kg last-four round at the Commonwealth Games. This win has secured his place in the finals and confirming a silver medal for Pakistan anyways.
All three judges chose Waseem, assigning him 30 points over Omer’s 27 in three rounds. The 26-year-old will now face Australia’s 23-year-old Andrew Moloney in the final on Saturday.
Earlier, Pakistan accumulated two silvers in judo, wrestling and one bronze medal in wrestling at the Games.
