Zainab went for study to her tuition center but did not go back to her home. Nowadays she was living at her aunt’s house because her parents went to perform Umrah.
The police filed the case but not succeeded in finding Zainab even after five days. The locals in Kasur were assuming that Zainab might be sold or murdered after rape. The police was giving traditional lame excuses of their failure in finding Zainab that they were searching for her. The people living in Kasur are fed up with the rise of minor girls’ abduction and rape. In 2017 ten girls were abducted from Kasur and its adjunct areas. Later their dead bodies were found with alleged rape.
Zainab kidnapped five days ago, later her corps was found in a heap of trash. When Zainab was missing her, uncle Muhammad Adnan reported an FIR on Jan 4 in Sadar Police Station of Kasur. Regretfully, on Tuesday her dead body was found and postmortem report revealed that poor minor was raped multiple times.
On Wednesday Lahore High Court justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah ordered District and Session Court to report the incident.
Zainab’s funeral was held in Kasur with hundreds of people. Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Tahirul Qadri led the people to offer funeral prayer of Zainab.
The Kasur residential are scared to send their children to school and tuition centers. People in rage burst out in the form of a huge procession at DC office when Zainab’s body was found. The protesters were dispersed by the police through aerial firing which resulted several injured and 2 dead.
District Bar and Anjuman Tajran (Traders Union) declared strike and protested over the criminals who could not be arrested yet though CCTV footage and suspect’s sketch is available. District Police Officer Kasur, Zulfiqar Hameed says that police is investigating the matter.
Locals say that Zainab’s case is the twelfth case, but the police do not take serious action to arrest the criminals. A media report reveals that postmortem reports of the small girls’ dead bodies which were killed after sexually abused, show the same sample of DNA.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanullah said that protesters want to spoil law and order situation in Lahore. The culprits of previously reported cases had been arrested earlier. Culprits will be behind the bars soon, he added.
Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif said that he will supervise the Zainab case himself till the case is not resolved and won’t let the rapist escape.
Many Pakistani political leaders are ashamed of the police slow investigation and condemned abduction and rape of minors in Pakistan on social media.

The condemnable & horrific rape & murder of little Zainab exposes once again how vulnerable our children are in our society. This is not the first time such horrific acts have happened. We have to act swiftly to punish the guilty & ensure that our children are better protected. pic.twitter.com/9f7OM3hYT1

Strongly condemn Punjab Police's use of force against protestors in Kasur, resulting in 2 deaths! Hasn't Showbaz already taken enough lives in Model Town that he now wants more? Shame on him and Punjab Police Gullu Butts who can’t catch criminals but do kill innocent citizens
