A christian was killed for his faith in Jesus Christ by an extremist
Two days before Good Friday, a 22- year old Christian was killed by a Muslim security guard colleagues, who was working as a janitor at an Islamic center, for refusing to convert to Islam.
Haroon, who was identified with a name Sunny, had started the job recently and had been persuaded by his assailant, named Umer Farooq, to convert to Islam. His assailant tried to persuade him by offering him a luxurious life.
Harron reportedly stated on the day of murder that he was a true follower of Jesus Christ and obstinately attempted to refuse the suggestion. Farooq was angered listening to the remark and fired on Haroon. Haroon died on the spot as bullet pierced his head. After that, the murderer tried to call it a suicide attempt.
The FIR was registered after the protest rallies by local Christians but the murderer was taken into custody by police straightaway.
According to Nasir Saeed, Director CLAAS, there were numerous other cases of religious prejudice and agony in Muslim-Majority Country of Pakistan.
He further stated “Recently a report published by MSP said that 1000 young Christian and Hindu women were forcibly converted to Islam. There are also incidents where young men and boys are also forced to convert to Islam, and murdered or implicated in false cases if they refuse,”
