A Call for Mercy- petiton for Asia Bibi

A Pakistani Christian woman, Asia Bibi convicted of blasphemy, still struggling for justice from behind the bars. The accusations aroused following a personal dispute between Asia and her co-workers. She was later tried by a local Court and pronounced guilty and as a consequence was sentenced to death.

The victimized Asia Noreen Bibi, a 41-year-old Pakistani Christian woman, has now spent three years in prison as she faces capital punishment after an absurd blasphemy conviction. The police arrested Asia and she was charged with blasphemy. She pined away in jail for a year and half until November 2010, when she was tried and thus pronounced guilty and sentenced to death sentence. More or less, three years since she was first thrown in prison, and a year and half since she was sentenced to hang, Asia Bibi is awaiting a hearing date for her appeal to the Lahore High Court.

More or less, around 150,000 Christians have signed this petition demanding justice for persecution victims, including Asia Bibi. Now you can join with The Voice of the Martyrs and Pakistani Christians. We hope to gather 1 million signatures on behalf of our sister Asia, who now sits in prison awaiting the Lahore High Court’s ruling on her appeal.
