JOHANNESBURG: A so called “prophet” makes his congregation eat snakes to prove their faith.
According to details, 24-year-old, Pastor Penuel Mnguni, who claims to be a prophet was arrested by the local police after photos of him feeding his congregation snakes were posted on Facebook. Pastor Mnguni heads the End Times Disciples Ministries in Soshanguve, a town in South Africa.
Sickening and terrible photos were posted on Facebook, showing people kneeling while ‘prophet’ Penuel Mnguni shoved live snakes into their mouths. Pastor Mnguni reportedly forced his congregation to eat live snakes in order to test their faith.
One of the photo posted on Facebook had a caption saying: “Those with small faith eats only vegetables but the ones with a great faith eats everything. During service Man of God commanded a snake to change into a chocolate and it obeyed. People ate it and enjoyed it.”
“To God Be The Glory!”
What is more, Pastor Mnguni even claimed that under his order God had turned the snakes into chocolate. “God gave me the power to turn them into chocolate,” he claims.
This is not the first time that he has been involved in such awful practice. Earlier this year; Pastor Mnguni posted photos of worshippers stripping their clothes off and lying down in front of Mnguni. Reports reveal that after people lie down in front of him, he then trod on them.
In that particular case, Pastor Mnguni had told those gathered: “God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden with no clothes on, and because they had faith in the Lord, they didn’t even know they were undressed”.
Pastor Mnguni’s church meets in Soshanguve, in Pretoria, South Africa. He was arrested when the Society for Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals opened a case against him. The SPCA inspector Mishack Matlou said: “We are conducting a preliminary inquiry with an intention of opening a criminal case against him. What we saw in the pictures is cruel.
“Imagine being eaten alive. This has to stop. He (the pastor) has now been charged with animal cruelty and will appear in court on Monday.”
On the other hand notorious Pastor Mnguni defended his actions and said: “I don’t keep reptiles in my house or church. I catch them when I need them.”
