A U.S. judge ordered a teen to attend Church instead of sentencing him to jail, according to court proceedings.
Oklahoma District Judge Mike Norman sentenced a juvenile offender Tyler Alred to attend church as part of his trial agreement. The pastor of the church was also present in the courtroom at the time of the sentencing. However, the judge has previously sentenced a defendant to attend church.
Judge Mike Norman remarked, “The Lord works in many ways. I did some of these things before, but never for serious offenders.”
