All Minorities Democrats an emerging political party has austerely condemned alarmingly increased incidents of child abduction in Punjab. Child abduction has become a routine matter in Punjab specially in Lahore. “We condemn kidnappings of children across Punjab Province, especially in metropolitan city Lahore,” AMD states.
In the wake of recent wave of child abduction in the province, a joint statement was released by Chairman AMD Robin Yousaf Saroya and President AMD Sarfraz Gill. In their message, the AMD leaders stated: “We protest against weak governance and would like to request provisional government to bring control over this serious issue.”
At the same time, Robin Yousaf Saroya and Sarfraz Gill urged Punjab government to be preemptive and subsisting measures in order to thwart further kidnappings. Furthermore, they called for beefed up security levels throughout the region. Security of common people must be prioritized, they said. “We appreciate the recent development made by provisional government on organizing a special task force,” they stated. The special task force is assigned the task to tackle with the issue.
The AMD leaders urged parents to be on guard and take preventive measures to avoid mishaps. “We urge all parents should be more vigilant and they should take special care of their children when they go out. We all need to pay special attention on our surrounding and be cooperative with all law enforcement authorities at all time. Whenever we observe any unusual moments, we must have to notify nearest police station.”
They expressed sympathies with the victimized families saying: “Our complete compassion is with all those families who are in great mourning due to kidnapping of their child.”
