ASIA: China, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam On The Blacklist For Child Exploitation

According to a report released by the Department of Labour of the Government of the United States, the textile industry in China, India, Bangladesh and Vietnam continues to be on the blacklist for the exploitation of children.

In all, 25 countries violate international standards for jobs in the textile and clothing sector. Cotton collection, weaving and packaging of clothing are the activities that mostly violate the international standard with regards to workers’ rights, which prohibits child labour and forced labour.
