Asian Beach Ju-Jitsu Competition: Pakistani Christian athletes return home with 6 medals in their decorated caps

Pakistani Ju-jitsu team returned from Sri Lanka on Monday August 1, after a successful campaign at the First Asian Beach Ju-Jitsu Competition held at the Negombo Beach. Pakistan team put on a brilliant show during the completion and finished up at the first spot in the completion. Nine players competed from Pakistan, and earned 15 medals for the country.

Pakistani Ju-jitsu team included three Christian athletes Ambreen Ashiq, Humaira Ashiq and Awais Masih. All of them bagged medals in the completion, while putting on a spectacular display of Ju-Jitsu. Ambreen Ashiq won one bronze medal, Humaira Ashiq won two silver and one bronze medals while Awais grabbed two bronze medals.

Ambreen who played in a weight category -55 kg, Humaira in weight category -45 kg, while Awais Masih in – 56 kg. Pakistan teams expressed great jubilation upon returning home holding their heads high. Ambreen, Humaira and Awais voiced great satisfaction on the feat and said that they were thankful to God for yet another success. They said they felt honored and proud to represent Pakistan and be a part of Pakistan Ju-Jitsu team.
