The residents of the twin cities are facing difficulties ahead of Azadi March due to lack of public transport on roads. Even though the police is taking firm measures to ensure security of the citizens nevertheless limited public transport on the roads is creating problems for the people to reach their destination.

“There is a situation of uncertainty all around and no one is sure what is going to happen,” said a local resident. “We celebrate Independence Day every year with zeal and fervour but this year everyone is worried about the circumstances which has affected the real spirit of our national day,” he added.

Some shopkeepers of a shopping plaza on Muree Road said.“We would not open our shops on the 14th so that no one could damage our shops or break glasses because it is not easy to control a mob,” said a shopkeeper.

The police personnel are deployed at all the entry and exit points of the capital and strict security checking of vehicles is in progress but no resident is stopped to travel, said a police officer at Faizabad.
