Badami Bagh Incident: Police Was In Hideout While The Mob Was Setting The Houses On Fire

ISLAMABAD: The CCPO Lahore suggests in his report that the gates of the godown had been opened for the police to take refuge in the premise.

The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore, Muhammad Amlesh proposed that the gates of the Kandawala godown were opened to the police to enter the building.

Moreover, the Superintendent of Police (SO) Multan Khan took refuge on the third floor of the building while the DSP, SHO and other police officials closed the doors. The hide out of police encouraged the violent mob to torch the quarters.

 

In line with the report, SP (operations) Sohail Sukhera, SSP (investigations) Babar Bakht Qureshi, SP Cant Marood Safdar Wahla, SP Iqbal Town Imtiaz Sarwar, SP Civil Lines Dr Farukh Raza and DSPs and SHOs together with their forces arrived at the area at about 11:30 am.
