“All accomplishments are credited to my Lord Jesus Christ,” said Roger Nazir who has made it into the finals of the Pakistan StartUp Cup. This budding software engineer has competed from Faisalabad and was selected among top three, to compete at national levels. His project “Customer Analyzer,” had to go up against projects from competitors from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad.
His project had previously won him the Microsoft ImagineCup- while explaining his project he said: “My project Customer Analyzer (Software) reads any given person’ face and tells the person’ gender and mood at the run time.” He further told that this completion was organized by TiE. He said that his idea was selected out of hundreds of innovative ideas from all over the country.
“I am very thankful to Lord Jesus. He always helped me in achieving goals I had set for myself,” he exclaimed.
He pinned his feat on the industrious backing and support from his teachers and mentors: “The turning point in my life, was the kindness, encouragement and love from my teachers. I was mentored, I was motivated and I was inspired to work hard – which led me to think big, to discern my talents and to dream about a different, more exciting future.”
While further elucidating his aspirations he said: “I desire to aim for higher goals with a broader thinking. I yearn to be optimistic while I dream the impossible. I would urge all to nurture a life of purpose.”
