Celebrated Pakistani Christian journalist Badar Sarhadi passes away in Lahore

Renown Pakistani Christian journalist/columnist Inayat Masih publicly known as Badar Sarhadi passed away in the small hours of July 17 Sunday. Badar Sarhadi an acclaimed journalist was born on 12 October 1938. His memorial service was scheduled today July 19, Monday in Lahore’s Youhanabad area. He was laid to rest in Youhanabad on July 17, while his funeral service was held in Christ Church, Youhanabad.

His renowned works include his column “Teesri Ankh” and his literary work “Nazariya e Quaid, Riyasat aur aqlitien.” Badar Sarhadi founded Masihi Awami Party, who was believed to a fearless journalist and Christian leader. He was a close ally of Chief Editor of Monthly Hamsookhan International.

His columns were regularly included in various national and international newspapers. He was a man of ardent passion for his people. Christian community has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss terming it as a loss of entire community. International Media Forum has pledged to publish his work which was not published yet.
