A Pakistan Army helicopter, which was carrying flood relief goods, was forced to make an emergency landing in Chitral after it experienced a technical fault.
According to media reports, Pakistan Army’s F-17 helicopter crash-landed in the Mastuj area of Chitral when it was reportedly partially damaged while carrying out flood relief activities in the region.
This incident happened at a time when Pakistan Army is busy executing a relief operations in various areas hit by recent flash floods. The flood-hit areas which are being accessed by Pakistan Army across the country include Chitral, Punjab and KPK.
However, earlier on Wednesday July August 5, ISPR stated that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif had visited the flood-hit areas of Chitral. Army Chief was given a detailed briefing regarding the rescue and relief efforts carried out by Pakistan Army, FWO and FC.
