Germany is urged to house the Christian and Muslim refugees separately amid growing incidents of Muslim refugees persecuting and harassing Christian refugees in the refugee camps in Germany.
There are reports that Muslim refugees incited violence against the Christian refugees who are also living in the refugee camps with them. Seeing this situation, Germany is urged to accommodate Christian and Muslim refugees separately.
In this regard, Jörg Radek- Deputy Head of Germany’s police trade union stated that “Separating refugees on religious grounds “makes perfect sense. We must do everything we can to prevent further outbreaks of violence.” Radek revealed that the incidents of violence among the refugees in the camps are increasing day by day. Radek told a German newspaper Die Welt that police “have reached their absolute breaking point”.
Germany is a popular site for the incoming refugees who are seeking asylum within the European Union. Germany has favoured taking in refugees in contrast to various other frontier countries of the EU. Thousands of refugees have managed to enter Germany. These refugees are of Syrian, Iraqi, Afghani, African, Pakistani and various other origins.
Jörg Radek portrayed the intensity of the worsening situation in the refugee camps and told that “Our officials are increasingly being called to confrontations in refugee homes. When there are 4,000 people in a home which only actually has places for 750, this confinement then leads to aggression where even a tiny thing like the corridor to the toilet can lead to violence.”
There are various reports of clashes which erupted among the refugees in the camps. Just recently, on Sunday night, a clash broke out between Pakistani and Albanian refugees in a camp in the town of Calden in central Germany. As a result 14 people were injured; which included 3 policemen. Previously on Thursday a fight broke out between 200 Syrians and Afghans at a refugee camp in Leipzig.
These refugee camps are housing majority of Muslim refugees and all the refugees are residing together with each other. Christian refugees who have made it to Europe, and residing in these camps are now facing harassment and persecution at the hands of Muslim refugees.
There are reports of several incidents when Muslim refugees have bashed Christian refugees in refugee camps in Germany. One of the Christian victims says, “They say I’m a, kuffar , (an unbeliever). They spit at me, they treat me like an animal. And threaten to kill me.” He also revealed that when he tried to bring his complain to the Security Service, they officials did not take interest in his problems.
Another one of many incidents was reported by a Syrian Christian refugee who is living among the Muslim refugees in Germany reported that “They shout Quranic verses. These are words which ISIS shout before they cut off people’s heads. I can not stay here. I am a Christian.” A Christian refugee family complained that Muslim refugees harassed them while they live among them in a refugee camp in Germany. “They yelled at my wife and beat my child. They say, We will kill you and drink your blood.”
