Christians of Pakistan have well-built faith in their country’s improvement and prosperity and will carry on to serve it with the spirit that is their unique characteristic.
This was said by speakers hailing from Christian community during the Pakistan Day celebrations held here at Khatoon-e-Fatima Church Sunday.
Mr. Zahid Malik Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer and Chairman of Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) was the chief guest on the occasion. JUI-F’s minority MNA Asiya Nasir, vocal representative of civil society Tahira Abdullah, Chairman of the United Churches Council Albert David and representative of Christian Community Brig (R) Simon were among the speakers. Children of the FG School F-6/2 presented tableau and performed cultural and traditional dances of the country. Through their performance they gave message of love for Pakistan which was lauded by the audience.
Christians and other Pakistani minorities have now fully recognize that the periodic incidents of hassle caused to them were not engineered by any Pakistanis or Muslims and instead it was the actions of overseas trained and unfamiliar funded agents who were up to making Pakistan a vulnerable country.
