Pakistani Christian leader Julius Salik has heaped condemnations over the heinous terror strike at the shrine of Sufi Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. The explosion unfolded on Thursday, February 16 killing at least 88 devotees while over 200 were injured.
In a press release issued after the incident, Julius Salik former Federal Minister, Convener of World Minorities’ Alliance and organizer of Awami Masiha Party expressed deep sorrow over loss of lives in heinous terror strike in Sehwan. In this press released a day after the incident, he poured condemnation over the incident and said that “attacker was an enemy of humanity.”
Julius Salik stated that the terrorists are aiming to weaken the nation by carrying out atrocious attacks; however, we as a nation need to stand united against the menace of terrorism and extremism. “Terrorism is one of the worst problems, Pakistan is facing today,” he stated.
“It has now become inevitable to uproot terrorism from the country completely,” he stated while expressing condolences over the loss of lives in the incident. He said that his heart aches over loss of valuable lives, “I pray that God protects Pakistan from all evil,” he stated while continuing, “May terrorism is uprooted from Pakistan completely.” Julius Salik stated that he prays that those who has sustained injuries and for the bereaving families of those who had lost their lives.
