Christian Minister of Ports and Shipping, Kamran Michael among the accused of selling church property

According to details, Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench issued directions for registration of First Investigation Report against Minister for Ports and Shipping, Kamran Michael and others accused of involvement in sale of Holy Trinity Church, Murree property. The group is allegedly involved in fraud of sixty million rupees on pretext of sale of church property.

The Christian minister and his counterparts were allegedly involved in fraud on the pretext of sale of church property against Syed Khawar Ameer Bukhari who is also the complainant of the case. The deal was made in 2013 when Kamran Michael served as the Minister for Minority Affairs.

Earlier, the complainant Syed Khawar Bukhari had tried registering an FIR at Murree police station. The action was delayed due to the influence of the accused. Later, Justice of Peace/Additional Sessions Judge Murree directed the SHO Murree that the FIR be registered as soon as possible.

Kamran Michael, a Pakistani Christian politician is a member of Pakistan Muslim League (N), the ruling party. He holds the office for Minister of Ports and Shipping since June,7, 2013.
