Christian political parties unite to boycott Elections 2013

KARACHI: Three mainstream Christian political parties join Pakistan Christian Congress, aiming to boycott the upcoming elections.

The leaders of Christian National Movement Pakistan CNMP, Masiha Millat Party MMP and MASS rebuff at the “selection” system whilst demanding Dual Voting Rights for religious minorities which may enable them to elect their representatives for the reserved seats in the National Assembly.

 

The Boycott strategy will be announced on 10th  of April, 2013. The PCC urges all the Christians of Pakistan to join in the “social boycott” of all such Christian candidates who have filed their nomination for the reserved seats under the “selection” system.

“The Supreme Court of Pakistan, Election Commission of Pakistan and Armed Forces of  Pakistan are using election 2013, for Islamization of Pakistan to curb freedom of expression and speech and to damage true ideology of Pakistan laid by founder of Pakistan but Christian will not be part of this conspiracy” said Nazir Bhatti-President of Pakistan Christian Congress.
