PESHAWAR: Christians in KPK capital held prayer services for the victims of Peshawar school attack.
A special prayer service was held at St. John’s Cathedral on Sunday December 21. Whereas, large number of them gathered outside the Army Public School at Warsaq road. They lit candles in the memory of 149 school children and teachers who were killed as a result of Taliban attack on December 16. Christian men, women and children of Peshawar and other cities visited the affected school and offered prayers for those killed in Pakistan’s deadliest-ever terror attack.
Members of the Christian community also staged protest against the killing of innocent students and staff members of the Army Public School. Masihi Awami society organised a protest outside the Peshawar press club. The participants expressed sympathies with the victim families and solidarity with the security forces and fellow Pakistanis.
The Christians were holding placards inscribed with slogans praising Pakistan Army. They were also chanting slogans in favour of the security forces and the martyrs.
