Christian intellectuals in India have approached the group to defend pluralism and battle periphery components focusing on Christian, Muslim and different minorities.

In an open letter to Catholic and Protestant pioneers, 101 Christian scholars theologians, academics and members of different organizations expressed concern over Hindu nationalism “What used to be fringe, has now become mainstream,” the non-denominational letter said.
It comes against against a backdrop of increased attacks on Muslims, including several cases of lynching, by Hindu mob for the sake of protecting cow, which are adored by Hindus.

The letter made a hidden reference to an apparent absence of composed activity among Christian places of worship against religious viciousness.
The Christian people group itself has encountered expanded savagery since the star Hindu Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) came to control in 2014. In the previous three years there have been more than 600 episodes of viciousness against Christians.

The letter to Christian pioneers expressed that the time had come to take intense activities, and join with civil group further erosion of human and constitutional values.
