According to a survey carried out by GallupPakistan, 78% of Pakistanis said that,” Christians should be allowed to build churches in those Muslim countries where they are in a minority (such as Pakistan); 22% said that they should not be allowed.”

This survey was chalked out by Gilani Research Foundation. In the survey, adult men and women, from all the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion, in those Muslims countries where Christians are in a minority (such as Pakistan), should they be allowed to build churches or not?” However, in response to this question, 78% respondents said that Christians should be allowed to build churches in those countries where they are in a minority, while 22% respondents said that they should not be allowed to build churches in such countries.

Nonetheless, this same question has been asked in past as well and the results were related. From 2011 to 2012, there was a decrease in the percentage of those respondents who said that Christians should be allowed to build churches in Muslims countries (82 per cent to 75 per cent), on the contrary an increased number of those who said that they should not be allowed (17 per cent to 24 per cent).

Notwithstanding the fact, ever since 2012, significant changes have been witnessed in the percentage of respondents going either way. However, in general, a relatively large majority of respondents, have said that Christians should be allowed to build churches in those Muslims countries where they are in a minority.
