Christians to mark 68th death anniversary of S.P. Singha with due solemnity and reverence

Christians to mark 68th death anniversary of Deewan Bahadur S.P. Singha tomorrow Saturday, October 22. S.P. Singha was a prominent leader and a close ally of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. In order to observe his anniversary, a ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow under the patronage of Joseph Francis.

Death anniversary of S.P. Singha

The ceremony organized in this regard is to be held in Lahore’s Gora Qabaristan, Jail Road. This ceremony will be presided over by Chairman of Pakistan Christian National Party and National Director of CLAAS, M.A. Joseph Francis. S.P. Singha’s death anniversary is being celebrated every year under the banner of Pakistan Christian National Party.

Prominent Christian leaders, social activists and political leaders are expected to attend the ceremony. At this occasion, Senior-Vice Chairman of Pakistan Christian National Party, Martin Javaid Michael, Central Leader Zia Khokhar have urged all the party members to attend the ceremony marking the death anniversary of S.P. Singha.

Deewan Bahadur Seeta Parkash Singha was born on 26th April, 1893 in Pusrur, District Sialkot of Punjab. S.P. Singha was one of the inner circle allies of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. S.P. Singha was affiliated with largest political party of Christians in the Indo-Pak namely, All India Christian Association. With S.P. Singha’s vote in favor of Pakistan, the total count of votes in favor of Pakistan reached 91 against 88 votes in favor of un-partitioned India.
