Christmas Fête: Seven special Christmas bazaars set up in Lahore

As Christmas approaches, provincial government has set up seven special Christmas bazaars in Lahore in order to facilitate the Christian community. In this regard, City District Government (CDGL) officials have been assigned with special duties to monitor the arrangements of Christmas bazaars. These special Christmas bazaars will be set up at different towns of the city.

In line with details, these bazaars will be set up at Nishtar Town Youhanabad area, Danbasco School Railway Headquarter at Data Gajhbaksh Town, Jalo Mor and Batapur at Wagha Town, Bhar Colony Kot Lakhpat and Makkah Colony Bazaar at Gulberg Town, Alahi Bukhs Road at Ravi Town and China Scheme in the jurisdiction of Shalimar Town.

While speaking in this regard, DCO Lahore, Captain (r) Muhammad Usman stated that the district administration has established temporary special Christmas bazaars for the Christian community. He said that he has directed each town administration to make all out arrangements on Christmas. He explained that at least 100 stalls would be set up in seven Christmas bazaars. He said that the main purpose of these bazaars is to facilitate the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas.

On the other hand more than 6,000 Christian employees of the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will also get advance salaries. At the same time, special annual incentive will also be given to Christian employees. As part of Christmas preparations, the Lahore Waster Management Company has chalked out a plan to maintain cleanliness in the city. In this regard, a special Christmas cake cutting ceremony will be held on December 23.
