CM Punjab praises the spirit of service exhibited by people after the Lahore park blast

A week after the heinous terror strike, the Chief Minister of Punjab has praised the citizens’ spirit of service exhibited at the occasion of the atrocity.

Shahbaz Sharif the Punjab Chief Minister while attended a function organized to recognize the services of the officers and officials from the relief agencies, police, administration, other departments, political colleagues, doctors, paramedical staff and nurses after Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park incident. During his address, the CM, admired the people said that those who made determined efforts for saving the lives of innocent victims of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, bomb blast and those who in any way helped the injured persons with loyalty and effectiveness are indeed heroes of the nation.

At this occasion, the CM said that the “spirit of service to humanity shown by the local administration, police, doctors, surgeons, physicians, nurses, political colleagues, workers, elders, youth and citizens in saving the lives of injured persons is highly commendable and this makes nations and societies.” He added that there is always an imperative need for sincerity, hard work, dedication and keenness to counter the menace o terrorism and extremism so as to make our country peaceful and strong.

He said that the function was arranged solely to pay tributes to all those who have made maximum efforts in order to help and save the lives of victims of the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park blast. CM said that they are indeed the heroes of the nation who have set a glorious example of service to humanity and the Pakistani nation salutes them. He also said that by way of selflessly serving the victims of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park calamity, these people have surely earned the blessings of God, whereas wining hearts of the masses. He said that God will reward these persons for their good deeds.

He went on to say that he strongly condemns the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park incident; which is a tragedy which has grieved and shocked the entire Pakistani nation. Nonetheless, he said that by serving the victims of this tragedy, the rescue institutions along with the doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, police, local administration and all segments of the society have set a noble example.

He asserted that if this same spirit and passion is upheld for the selfless service to humanity; the terrorists and all the enemies of peace will surely be obliterated. In his opinion there is a need for loyalty and determined efforts to cope with the challenge of terrorism. He said that he strongly believes that Pakistan will be cleansed of the peril of terrorism and extremism. While towards the end of the function, CM offered prayer for those who were killed in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park bomb blast along with praying for peace in the country.

At this occasion, other provincial ministers Rana Sanaullah, Bilal Yasin, Salman Rafiq, along with various other provincial assembly members, chief secretary, inspector general police and senior officials were also present.
