KARACHI: The Pakistan Christian Congress Chief urges Punjab Government to make the security of Sardar Mushtaq Gill’s certain.
According to the details, Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has firmly condemned the incident of unknown men threatening the National Director of LEAD Advocate Sardar Mushtaq Gill. Apparently, he was threatened because of his intervention in the case of three Christian women who were forced by a mob to parade naked in village lanes in district of Kasur.
On 23rd of June, 2013, Mushtaq Gill Advocate was blocked by unknown armed men when he was going home with his friend, after meeting the victims of the Kasur incident. He was on his way back from village Sereser, near Pattoki in Kasur district.The harassers fired arms threatened, Advocate Mushtaq Gill of horrible consequences of supporting Christian victims and openly fired shots from their pistols to be serious in their threats.
On June 23, 2013, LEAD Director Advocate Mushtaq Gill went to meet the victimized family of Sadiq Masih to guarantee them that a petition will be filed in court for detaintion of culprits when this incident happened with him on way back home.
Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that,” instead of arresting Muslims on such a heinous crime of parading Christian women naked in streets the life threats to Advocate Mushtaq Gill express that Christians are not not equal citizen of Pakistan nor justice is for them in Pakistan.”
Nazir Bhatti also called upon Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to consider millions of Christians living in Punjab from centuries as equal citizens of Punjab and Pakistan to honour their self respect like Muslims.
Furthermore, PCC Chief insist on, Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to direct arrest of culprits involved in the Kasur incidents and to grant satisfactory security to Advocate Mushtaq Gill.
