KARACHI: Cyclone Nilofar is relenting as it lingers only 650km away from Karachi.
According to the met office, it is not expected to hit Pakistan’s coastline. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the cyclone is moving at the speed of 18km/hour towards the marine boundaries of Pakistan and India.
Chief meteorologist Tauseef Alam, said the cyclone will not directly hit the shoreline of Pakistan but will only pass by it at the distance of 250km in the evening or late at night. Heavy winds, rain and thunder are expected in the coastal areas of Pakistan with Karachi experiencing 20mm to 30mm of rain today and tomorrow.
