Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said all minorities have complete constitutional rights over Pakistan and we did innovative work during our term for Christians, Hindus and Sikhs.
“We will not allow the government to snatch away land, plots and houses we had given to the minorities,” he said while addressing a largely attended PML-Q Minorities Wing Workers Convention at the Muslim League House on Saturday.
He said we had protected the rights of the minorities according to Islamic ideology and sayings of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and took steps including dual-vote right, educational stipends and special quotas for minorities children, return and upgrading of 45 educational institutions including F.C. College, distribution of special funds for building and repairs of gurdwaras, churches and temples, establishment Nankana Sahib model city, quota in jobs, distribution of agricultural land and residential plots in Clarkabad and other areas with proprietary rights, and also setting of Christian model villages for their betterment for the first time in 60 years.
The PMLQ senior leader said the minorities always played quite appreciable role in progress and prosperity and maintenance of law and order.
He said besides the minorities, conveniences we had provided to the poor and common persons were being finished instead of carrying these further on; roads constructed during our tenure were not being repaired and rehabilitated; 1122 vehicles are not being replaced; they forget the voters after securing their votes.
