Faisalabad: Minorities’ students get scholarship grants from provincial government

Minorities’ students received scholarships from the Government of Punjab. In this regard a ceremony was held at office of the Commissioner of Faisalabad. This ceremony was not only attended by the students but also by the Commissioner of Faisalabad Momin Agha, Christian MPA Shahzad Munshi, Director Colleges Rana Munawar Khan and others.

Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities’ Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu, graced the ceremony as chief guest. At this occasion he told the attendees that the provincial government is striving to ensure progress of the minorities.

Students belonging to minorities including Christian community were present who received their cheques from the Provincial Minister Khalil Tahir Sandhu. Students received scholarships of 30 thousand to 50 thousand Rupees. Khlil Tahir congratulated the students who had received scholarships and encouraged them to strive for better future.

At this occasion, Provincial Minister Khalil Tahir Sandhu, urged students belonging to minorities’ communities to apply for the scholarship grants. He told the audience that the students from the minorities’ communities can submit their applications till 31st of January so that they can be considered for next round of scholarships for minorities’ students.
