Federal Minister for Human Rights condoles with the family of Christian Colony terror attack victim

Federal Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael called on the family of Samuel Masih- victim of terrorist attack on Peshawar’s Christian Colony. He met with family members and offered condolences to them. “Samuel is a national hero – nation acknowledges his sacrifice,” he said.

Federal Minister also met with the residents of the colony and heard their narratives. During this visit, he was accompanied by Members of Assembly, Christian leaders along with Church leaders and police officials. While remarking about the incident, Kamran Michael praised the efficacious operation carried out by the security forces, and showered praises upon them saying that they had prevented massive destruction.

Honorary awards and cash prizes were announced for those who had imperiled their lives in order to thwart the terrorist attack at the same time he announced financial assistance for the family of late Samuel Masih.

Samuel Masih, resident of Christian Colony, Warsak Dam, perished as a result of the brazen attack by terrorists. Early morning on September 2, four suicide bombers launched an assault at the Christians’ neighborhood opening indiscriminate fire. Samuel Masih the sole Christian reportedly killed in the attack was hit by bullets sprayed the bombers as he was going out from Colony’s main gate.
