PESHAWAR: As a consequence of escalating violence against Sikh community, at least five Sikh families have left Pakistan for India, citing uncertain security and financial woes.

Baba Gurpal Singh, a Sikh elder said, “We are a peaceful community but the unrest in Peshawar is forcing us to leave, despite the attitude of general public towards Sikhs in the area being very supportive.” There have been rising incidents of killings of Sikhs in KP.
