In his recent Facebook status Franklin Graham has put down the values to go by as a Christian. He has pointed out what it means to be a Christian.

“There has been a lot of talk the last couple of days about what it means to be Christian. Simply put, a Christian is a person who is a follower of Jesus Christ.”

Sharing his life as an example and testimony, the world renowned evangelist wrote, “I was 22 years old when I asked God to forgive me of my sins and I put my faith and trust in His Son Jesus Christ. I invited Jesus into my heart and turned my life over to Him—and I’ve been following Him ever since.”

Condemning the religious norms prevalent in the society, Graham rejected the denominational division.
“Being a Christian has nothing to do with being a Presbyterian or a Baptist or a Catholic—religion can’t save you. You have to confess your sins, turn from your sins, and believe in Jesus Christ, who took your sins to the cross, died, was buried, and God raised Him from the grave. That’s the Good News, that’s the Gospel.”

Graham also explained how it was God who loved us first and sent his son to atone for our sins and urged his followers to confess their sins turn to the Lord because He is faithful to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Franklin Graham, son of the famous evangelist Billy Graham is currently running his ‘Decision America’ campaign through which he has prompted American Christians to vote for Presidential candidates who stand on the Biblical truths.

Graham is liked and followed by many because of his firm take on the Christian faith and his relentless support of the Christian principles.
