“Freedom of Religion or Belief”: HFO launches Norwegian book with Urdu translation

Lahore based Christian charity organization Human Friends Organization (HFO) launches a book based on religion based persecution. The book titled “Freedom of religion or belief for everyone,” translated by the efficacious efforts of Human Rights Organization and was launched in Pakistan on October 27, Thursday in Lahore.

This book was originally authored by Norway based Stefanus Alliance International. Book launching ceremony was held at Lahore’s Ambassador Hotel. The ceremony was graced by Ambassador of Norway His Excellency Tore Nedrebo, Christian leaders, and representatives of other religions, parliamentarians, members of civil society and media personnel.

“Religious freedom, social justice and pluralism is our goal – we want to achieve the vision for the promotion of human dignity,” said Sajid Christopher, President of Human Friends Organization (HFO).

While addressing the ceremony all the speakers laid great emphasis on the need of upholding mutual respect and propagation of religious freedom. They also appreciated the content of the book saying that the book will be helpful in preservation and promotion of co-existence, pluralism, religious tolerance and social justice in Pakistan.
