Christian refugees continue to face persecution at the hands of fellow refugees in the refugee camps in Germany. Following religion-based violence in the refugee camps, the lawmakers have been rendered helpless but to the come up with ways to deport refugees who are found inciting violence in the camps.
In keeping with reports, the Muslim refugees call the Christian refugees “unclean” and “impure as a dog.” In extreme cases some of the radical refugees even assert killing of Christians because they are infidels. Iranian Pastor Mahin Mousapour while speaking with media personnel said: “Toys of Christian children are being destroyed, Christian asylum seekers are told not only to wash their dishes after eating but also that they must clean the entire kitchen as it would otherwise be ‘unclean’. Many Muslim asylum seekers call all Christians unclean. Church services are held in secret, bibles and crucifixes have to be hidden.”
Refugee outpouring was at peak when German Chancellor Angela Merkel invited about 1.1 million refugees. Amidst thousands of refugees, the German lawmakers are anxious about housing massive numbers of asylum seekers who hail from various faiths. Meanwhile outbreaks of sporadic violence have been recorded. Owing to the severity of the situation, many Christian refugees are fearful while living in the refugees camps.
There are reports that in some cases Christian refugees are opting to practice their faith in secret. According to a Christian persecution watchdog, Open Doors about 40,000 Christians faced religion based persecution in Germany. “These figures are just the tip of the iceberg,” Open Doors stated.
