Gujranwala: A 12-year-old Christian strangled to death after he refused to labor at a stable

Dead body of a Christian minor found hanging at a stable where he used to work. The 12-year-old deceased namely Salman Masih was found dead after he had gone out with his former employers. The incident is reported from a village Chehl Kalan near Qilla Didr Singh town in District Gujranwala in Punjab. Salman’ death was speculated as a suicide by the locals while his family claims that his death was a pre-planned murder.

In keeping with details, Salman had quit working at the stable few days prior to his death. However, his employers insisted that he should continue working for them. After quitting his job, Salman returned to his house. Nonetheless, his employers namely Aurangzeb, Humayun and Jahangir came to his house one day and forced him to go with them to the stable. On May 8, around 11 p.m. Salman’ dead body was found hanging with the ceiling at a stable located near the Alam Chowk area.

Shortly the news spread in the locality and the dead body of the Christian minor was transported to the District Headquarters Hospital where his postmortem was carried out. The dead body was handed over to the heirs at about 2 pm. Followed by the incident, Hadayyat Masih father of the victim registered a police complaint at a local police station and the police filed and FIR against Humayun, Jahangir and Aurangzeb who were hooked by the police later on.
