Christian minorities in central India are facing a new threat as Hindu extremists in more than a dozen village councils have passed resolutions imposing restrictions on religions other than Hinduism.

These laws are passed under the pretext of “stopping false conversions,” have made Christian prayer, Church services and “evangelism” illegal. In some places these resolutions were followed by attacks on pastors and demolishing churches.
