According to Dunya news sources, the administration of Missionary school St. Helen in Dera Ismail khan have demolished the homes of 4 Christian families as a part of precautionary and safeguarding measures.
Despite the issue being in court, the helpless Christian families were made homeless. Located in Cantonment board the ages old St. Helen School and College administration demolished the houses as a part of precautionary measures being taken by the school.
The 4 Christian families, whose homes were demolished without any legal notice, had been living in those houses since four generations. The affected families set up a camp in protest.
The brother of Finance Minister came to the camp to console the families who have been affected. He appealed to the government that these people are not even in a position to buy a camp and live in it. He said that the effected families should be helped.
“Our houses were being demolished in front of our eyes, my daughter fainted and no one bothered to think where we will go,” said a woman whose house was demolished. The school administration remains quiet on the issue.
This is the denial of basic human rights and educational and missionary institutes need to stand up for the cause.
