Hopes for release of Japanese Christian journalist held hostage by ISIS are raised.
According to details, hopes of safe release and return of Kenji Goto a Japanese Christian journalist have been raised. In line with reports, Jordan may be willing to free the convicted suicide bomber in return for release of Kenji Goto and Jordanian pilot. The terror group ISIS demanded release of this convict in return of Kenji Goto or else threatened to murder him likewise Haruna Yukawa who was murdered by ISIS. The demanded convict is held by Jordan at present. However, Japan has refused to reveal further details of continuing discussion with the Jordanian authorities.
According to Japanese news agency Kyodo News’ interview with two members of the Jordanian parliament, raises hopes that Kenji Goto, who has been under threat of execution by the Islamist terrorist group for almost a week, will be the beneficiary of a prisoner swap, despite opposition from the US.
Moreover, Japanese deputy foreign minister, Yasuhide Nakayama, gave further cause for hopefulness when he said he hoped Goto and his fellow captive, First Lt Mu’ath al Kasaesbeh, would return home “with a smile on their faces”.
