KARACHI: Police arrests three members of a human trafficking group.
According to media reports, three members of a human trafficking group were arrested by the west zone police on Thursday July 30. The police conducted an operation in Frontier Colony of Orangi Town and recovered three children from the custody if these criminals.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West Azfar Mehsar, in a press conference, said that the police raided Frontier Colony after secret information and seized leader of this human trafficking group. The leader of this trafficking who has been identidfied as Abdul Ghani Alias Yousaf is among the three arrested.
Police claims, this group sold children for Rs 40,000 each in Quetta as they lured the children by promising to provide jobs. The SSP said the group was also involved in exploiting trafficked children sexually. The recovered children from the group’s custody said the group members offered them jobs in hotels for Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000.
Police says, the arrested culprits Yousaf, Shahbaz and Sikandar were also involved in several cases of killings and robberies. After being arrested, the three criminals confessed to murders in Gulistan Johar, Mehmoodabad and Ferozabad.
