Kuala Lumpur: IS like extremists may rise in Malaysia also after Iraq and Syria.
Malaysian police has arrested 19 individuals suspected of having links with the Islamic State terrorist group. They are also suspected of planning terror attacks on Malaysian city, Putrajaya.
Malaysian counter terrorism deputy chief, Ayob Khan Pitchay Mydin said, “We know they planned to join ISIS through their travel itineraries,” said Ayob Khan.
The Malaysian police believe the individuals arrested were making their way to join ISIS in its war in Syria after examining their travel plans.
