The US-led coalition against ISIS carried out a bomb attack on a convoy of senior ISIS militants that may have included the terror group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
US defence officials confirmed that the air strikes on Friday November 7 night destroyed ten armoured vehicles of the group near Mosul, and that the mission had been “against what was assessed to be a gathering of ISIS leaders”.
Iraqi state television and two officials also said that the ISIS leader had been wounded. An Iraqi Interior Ministry official and a senior Iraqi military official both confirmed that the strike on Saturday November 8 had wounded Baghdadi. However, no details were revealed about how bad the ISIS Caliph’s injuries might be. On the other hand there are speculations of his death.
