ISLAMABAD: IGP Operation says police officers have been deployed for security purpose of schools and colleges in the city.
According to reports, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Operation, Sultan Azam Tamuri on Sunday January 11 has said that 34 officers at DSP and Inspector level had been appointed for security purpose of schools and colleges in Islamabad. During his briefing session, he said this while he was chairing the meeting held for briefing of security and vigilance committees comprising residents of the capital.
At this occasion he said that these officers would also visit schools and colleges on daily basis to deliver lectures on security to the students and teachers. These committees have been constituted under the direction of interior minister Nisar Ali Khan to ensure infallible security in Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan said that federal government has decided to setup security and vigilance committees to cope with terrorism.
