Islamabad: Security to be foolproof at churches during New Year’s services

As New Year approaches nigh, Capital police had announced a foolproof security plan for the occasion. In this regard, special security plan has been announced for the churches in the federal capital. In line with the statement issued by the IG Islamabad, more than 2,100 police personnel from Pakistan Rangers and traffic police will be deployed in the Capital.

According to the Inspector General Police, security will remain beefed up at churches and Christian neighborhoods in the city. He further told that police will take action against those found producing commotion, one wheeling on motorbikes or other such illegal acts.

In this regard, a special security plan has been devised by the Capital police, when police contingents will be deployed at all important places, markets, shopping centers and other public places. It was revealed that Police commandos will be deployed at different places while ASPs, DSPs, inspectors will be patrolling the city. All the police stations have been directed to make sure that the security provisions are foolproof in their respective areas.

In this regard, SSP Traffic police Malik Matloob has also prepared special traffic police squads to maintain the flow of traffic in the city while a special plan has been prepared to control the traffic in the city. He said that those found guilty of one-wheeling, racing and those running bikes and vehicles without silencers will face strict action.

In order to ensure foolproof security of Christians plain cloth officials will be deputed at various locations, as all Eagle and Falcon squads and Rescue 15 staff would perform security duties.
