According to the Ministry of Law and Justice, president of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain amended the Anti Terrorism Act 1997 on Friday,February 9. The Ordinance #11 of 2018 forbid the prohibited bodies from working according to the United Nation Act of 1948.
Ministry of Law confirmed on Tuesday the amendment in the Act by the president. As the order was passed by the president, the Interior Ministry sealed and captivated the assets related to JuD and FIF. The interior ministry also instructed the provincial government to follow out the orders.
The government of Punjab showed its opposition in the JuD and FIF seminars and health facilities program operating in Rawalpindi. The provincial government forbid public from giving donations to JuD and FIF.
JuD has 60 schools, hundreds of madrassas and 6 hospital with 150 ambulances working in the country. Health facilities will operate under Red Crescent while schools will work under the supervision of the provincial government.
Hafiz Saeed of JuD is banned by UN and US. According to the spokesman of JuD and FIF Yahya Mujahid said that they are in negotiation process.
Sindh provincial government is still unable to captivate the FIF humanitarian works. The Balochistan province has no JuD and FIF organization operating in the province.
Earlier this year in January the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) send a UNSC list to all companies forbidding them from donating money to all organizations on the list.
